NOTE: Some of the items below are described as being from a display and having one or two 
holes in one side of the case; they were part of a large collection that had been displayed by the 
previous owner. The cases had been drilled and the powder removed prior to
attaching to a backboard. Because of the wood and paper used in the display, 
the lead bullets were showing the effects of oxidation, which would have
eventually ruined the cartridges had the displays been left intact. The cartridges
listed here are the ones that I did not need for my own collection. They display
well, as the holes are in one side of the case only, and would be perfect for
anyone planning a display of their own, or wanting to section a cartridge to show
its internal construction. Since they are inert, they can be shipped anywhere in the 
world. Please note: only the cartridges described as being from a display are inert; 
all of the other cartridges are intact and original.

cartridge but is actually someone's idea of a joke, made from a Winchester old style No. 4 shotshell
primer (this makes it a centerfire!) with a number 6 shot as the bullet. At one point, it was thought
that a pistol existed that fired this thing, but one has never turned up. It is rather cute; a cartridge

               owned by Phoenix, which was purchased by Winchester Repeating Arms Company and the Union 
               Metallic Cartridge Company in 1891, possibly to prevent the company and its paper sabot patent  
               from being purchased by a competing company. Neither of the purchsing companies is known to
               have ever produced a paper sabot cartridge; Winchester continued to produce shot cartridges 
               under its patent for the extended length cartridge case and UMC continued to produce shot

                Manufactured by KEYSTONE CARTRIDGE COMPANY Austria', The headstamp indicates that these
                blanks were actually made by the Austrian ammunition maker Georg Roth. The letters G.R.A.G  
                stand for Georg Roth A G, the stock company for G. Roth that was formed in 1908. This is a rare 
                headstamp which may have been used only for exported ammunition; regardless, it was used for 
                a very limited number of calibers and for only a short period of time.  The box label indicates that
                the cartridges were made to fit all 38 caliber center fire revolvers. This is probably correct; with the 
               base and neck measuring .378" and the rim .428", the cartridges should be a good fit for most of 
               the .38 revolver cartridges that were in use in the early 1900s except possibly the .38 S&W and the 
               .38 New Police, for which they would be slightly loose but still serviceable since the low pressure 
                resulting when these blanks are fired should not cause any serious issues.   $3.00
